The first race meeting was held at the Brighton & Hove Stadium
on 2 June 1928. It is one of the fastest and safest tests of the
racing greyhound in the UK. There is free parking and easy access
via public transport to the modern stadium with computerised Totalisator
and photo finish systems, along with video race replays.

Directions
Take the A23 from the M23 until you reach a large new roundabout
with a Q8 garage on the right. Take the road up the hill so the
garage is still on your the right. At the top of the hill, go
straight over the roundabout, follow the signs for Hove. Take
the second turning on the left, Hove stadium is 200 yards on the
left.

Racing
Tuesday and Thursday evenings are £4.00 entry, Saturday
evenings are £5.00 including your race card. Wednesday and
Sunday afternoons admission is free.
Crowd capacity is 2,200 and there is parking for 365.
The track is 455 metres in circumference. The distances raced are 285, 475,
515, 695, 740, 930, 970 metres. The run to the first bend is 105 metres (when
running 4 bends) and 50 metres (for 6 bends races). Outside Swaffham is the
Hare type.
